Ultrasound systems specialist Zonare is helping users develop their
clinical excellence by providing its market leading technology to
educational courses across the UK.
The opportunity to trial Zonare’s equipment at training events gives
people the chance to gain practical experience of the technology in the classroom
without having to wait until they get into a clinical setting. This
approach allows practitioners to build their skills successfully and
quickly with no impact on the patient.
This year alone, Zonare’s education programme will support around twenty
different training courses and events across a range of ultrasound
specialisms, including head and neck, thoracic and anaesthesia.
Dr Rhodri Evans, Clinical Director at Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University
LHB, said:
“I’ve used the Zonare systems extensively during training courses for head
and neck ultrasound, for radiologists, physicians, surgeons and
sonographers. The Zonare system is particularly helpful in teaching
non-radiologists because of it has a simple operating system and is easy
to use. The adaptability of the system lends itself to use in surgical
outpatients and is ideal for head and neck biopsy work.”
Zonare also continues to promote learning through sponsorship of key
events, at which it provides highly trained experts to give practical
demonstrations of the zone sonography technology.
“We’ve been committed to supporting professional training and development
events since we launched five years ago,” said David Thomas, Managing
Director of Zonare UK.
“We have seen at first hand the difference it makes to radiographers and
sonographers at all levels to have the opportunity to re-establish
existing skills or to develop new clinical abilities through the ‘hands-on’
application of Zonare technology. Many practitioners have found that using
the equipment also facilitates anatomical learning.”
